To reach the plantations, one has to first reach either Bagdogra airport or Jalpaiguri railway station which lies in Jalpaiguri District in West Bengal. The plantations lie in the Dooars. The Dooars valley stretches from River Teesta on the west to River Sankosh on the east over a span of 130 km by 40 km and forms a major part of Jalpaiguri district.

The Nya Sylee tea estate is a two and a half hour drive from Bagdogra airport (about 90kms). The railway station Madarihat is about half an hour drive from the plantation (7kms away) .
From Jalpaiguri railway station one can drive down to the plantation in two hours.
The Sylee Tea Estate is a two-hour drive from Bagdogra airport (about 60kms). The estate is near the railway station Dam Dim.
From Jalpaiguri railway station one can drive down to the plantation in one hour.
